We’re excited to let you know that in 2026, we’re introducing a brand-new open water event, the Somerton 2km Classic, hosted by the Marion Marlins Masters Swimming Club.
Venue: Somerton Beach (Somerton Surf Life Saving Club)
Date: Sunday 25 January 2026

Event details:
- Distance: 2km open water swim
- Registration/Sign in: From 8:30 am
- Race start: 10:00 am
- Eligibility: Open to all swimmers 18 years & over
How to enter:
- Pre-register online for free
- Payment is only required on the day, and only if the event goes ahead. Card only, NO
cash.
- Please BYO your own high-vis swimming cap (some will be available for purchase on
the day)

With water safety provided by Somerton SLSC, club facilities available after the swim, and presentations held at the club, we’re looking forward to a great summer morning at the beach.
