2019 MSSA Presentation Dinner

This years Presentation Dinner “Mad Hatters” is to be held on Saturday 30 November 2019 at the Glenelg Golf Club.
The evening will start with pre dinner drinks at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start. Cost is $70 a head.
Dress code will be Cocktail/Semi Formal with a “Fancy Hat”.
Guest Speaker is Scott Beringen, a well known figure around the pool.
“Scott Beringen has been involved in the sport of swimming for over 40 of his 52 years, firstly as a swimmer competing from club up to Australian Open Championships level over 10 years, and then as a swimming teacher and coach for the last 30 years.
After 2 years as a learn to swim instructor in Adelaide, Scott coached at local clubs in both Melbourne and Sydney before returning to South Australia as the Head Coach for both South Coast Swimming Club and Noarlunga Masters for over 10 years.
As Performance Development Officer for Swimming SA for the next 2 years, Scott worked with metropolitan and country clubs and coaches across the state.
Scott was then awarded a National Coaching Scholarship through the Australian Sports Commission for 2 years, combining study and mentoring from elite coaches with the Australian Institute Of Sport and the South Australian Sports Institute, culminating in becoming the Head Coach of the S.A.S.I. Swimming Program for the following 12 months.
After returning to club coaching with the Fleurieu Swimming Club for over 10 years, Scott was involved in the merger of the club with the South Coast Swimming Club to form the Southern Performance Swim Club, of which he is now the Head Coach.
Scott has coached Australian Age and Open medalists and placed swimmers on Australian Youth Teams.”
